The Boys Fantasy Football 2026 Week 5 Recap
Power Rankings
Thank you to Cody M. for putting together this week’s power rankings which will hopefully stick around every week. I’ll come up with some fancy visualizations later, but we’re battling some daycare sickness here in Atlanta. A bit disappointed you didn’t follow my rules of ranking my team first. I guess I’ll just have to make some editorial decisions without your consent.
1: Too Many Bengals - (Duh) elite producers at every level. Consistent week to week producer
Huge drop off - yall suck, thanks for the dollars. 2-8 are fairly close in my mind and I could see all being playoff teams. I’m sure it’ll get more segmented in the coming weeks.
Still dropping…
There we are.
2: Mr Big Chests - getting bye weeks out of the way early. Best WR core in the league this year?
3: 81k team - highest scorer with a very high ceiling. Only knock is depth.
4: MBB - the guys has some bad fantasy defense, but is getting back a number one wr and adding it to a good team.
5: Token Female - made the incredibly correct decision of drafting JSN in the first round, getting smith back will really fill out the wr room.
6: Team Tendonitis - Bowers, Josh, and KW might be able to carry you to a championship this year.
7: Kieth’s top notch team - off to a solid start, getting Lamar back and having Josh throw to Kincaid again would boost him up a few spots.
8: Nasty Gworls - a lot of players with potential in just not sold on yet. (Likely, Waddle, Evans) In 2 weeks I may feel very differently.
Another Drop Off
Not as steep.
9: Patty Potbellies - puka is doing some heavy lifting, but the Bryce breakout is helping make up for some misses
10: Exciting whites - if Murray ends up getting more consistent in his connection with JJ, Jeff’s team could catch fire
11: Dad of Two - injuries and misses. Rough start to team Jer
12: My Team Sucks - now that they are not on my team, the three guys I traded are garbage. But in all seriousness, Henry is the only play I can confidently say I can see finishing top 5 at their position on this team, with not a lot of other hits in the draft. Good luck turning it around Alan.
Transactions
My team sucks shook things up trying to ride the Packers schedule to get back to .500.
| Alan receives | Cody M. receives |
|---|---|
| Jordan Love | Joe Burrow |
| Christian Watson | Ja’Marr Chase |
| Derrick Henry | Jordan Love |
Everyone was hot on the waiver wire for Woody Marks with a multi-week absence expected for David Montgomery. I believe he attracted the most interest of any waiver pickup this year, but I’m not going back to fact check. Half the league took a shot, bidding $111 total, as Marks goes to MBC for $30. Three teams also bid on Goedert for $1, $2, and $3 with Nasty Gworls bidding the most.
Matchups
Patty Potbellies (150.94) completed the comeback against My team sucks (130.4). Honestly, I’m just happy my team finally put together a half decent week, even if it was still technically a bottom half performance. The Potbellies exploded on Thursday night football with Bucky Irving (31.5). Irving nabbed a receiving TD early and ran away with a Buc’s win in the second half, including a 72 yard run where he broke at least three defenders’ ankles. Irving even rushed for a TD inside the five yard line after having zero carries inside the five in 2025. Nearly all of My team sucks played in the 1 o’clock window. Points accumulated steadily with Swift (17.3) and Baelon Allen (18.6) scoring rushing TDs while Aaron Rodgers (22) threw for 3 TDs for the third consecutive week. A late TD from the Burrow (24.6) Chase (19.7) stack saved their days and put My team sucks up handily. The Potbellies struggled in the 1 o’clock window outside of Matthew Golden (20.3) and Tyler Warren (21.4). Being up, I decided to start Jeremiyah Love (2.2) instead of Kendrick Bourne who I added incase I felt I needed WR points in the afternoon. Love is seemingly still affected by his preseason ankle injury and cost me 10 points in that decision. Before Sunday night football it was Tyler Huntley and Puka Nacua for the Potbellies facing a 41 point deficit. Puka can accomplish that on his own, but a bad game from Huntley would have gone a long way. Huntely was sucking fantasy-wise until a game tying TD with 40 seconds left which led to an overtime rushing score and 24.04 fantasy points. After 5 catches for only 36 yards in the first half, Puka went nuclear in the second half finishing with 17 catches on 24 targets. I’m happy Puka ended me so bad that none of my start/sit decisions matters. Its still on me how badly I drafted though. You’re welcome Taylor for your first W of the year.
Keith’s Top-Notch Team (133.54) slapped Token Female (118.52). This matchup was a story of studs and duds with both teams rolling out a pair of sub 6 point players. Token Female was tanked by Tyler Shough’s (1.84) inability to read a blitz against Minnesota. Minnesota blitzed on 85% of Shough’s dropbacks with led to less than 100 passing yards and a pair of interceptions. KTNT had a dud from Harold Fannin Jr. (1.4) in the rain as Watson only threw for 155 yards against the Jets. Token Female’s squad has been consistently solid; a consistency which continued this week in Aaron Jones Sr. (18.7), JSN (22.8), and Sam LaPorta (19.8). Malik Nabers (29.1) went off when Winston decided to just start hucking it deep, but Michael Wilson (7.28) couldn’t get things going against the Lions. KTNT had a pair of beastly performances in Jaylen Warren (36.8) and Jayden Daniels (32.26). Warren housed an 80 yard dump off early in the game and couldn’t be slowed as he finished with 188 scrimmage yards. Daniels in his first game back from the elbow injury was not afraid to run the ball. To be fair to Jayden, if you scramble into the endzone, you probably won’t get tackled; a fact he demonstrated twice. Fortunately for KTNT, in fantasy football, you are not penalized for poor clock management. Late in overtime, Daniels led the Commanders into comfortable field goal range. With 55 seconds left in the game, the Commanders let clock run down to 12 seconds and then ran another play. Daniels didn’t fully drop back, WRs were running routes, but the O-line looked like they were expecting a spike. After dancing for a few seconds, Daniels went down with 12 seconds. This was potentially long enough to get another play off to spike the ball, but half the Commanders’ offense was milling around, and they couldn’t get back in time resulting in a tie and an embarrassing moment for everyone involved. On the bright side, the Commanders now have a neatly symmetrical home record of 1-1-1 and KTNT nabs their third win.
Mr. Big Chests (138.94) dispatched Nasty Gworls (116.06). The Gworls were disappointing up and down the roster. Jonathan Taylor (11.2) was the first, second, and third priority for the Steelers defense who held the star RB to just 3 yards per carry. Taylor at one point had 10 carries for 12 yards and outside of a single 20 yard run, he was under 2 yards per carry. DK Metcalf (5.3) caught three passes including a pair of screens and Jaylen Waddle (4.8) had a bad drop. The Gworls were redeemed by a dominant Isaiah Likely game. Likely consistently beat man and zone coverage, and he when he didn’t separate, Winston threw him the rock. Likely caught 11 passes for 94 yards and a pair of scores to finish as the TE1 on the week. MBC kicked off the scoring in London with the Lawrence (22.74) Washington (30.4) stack connecting twice. Rhamondre Stevenson (17.5) continues his sneaky good season with 16 total touches and a TD in the Patriots’ rout of the Raiders. ARSB (12.9) and Olave (8.6) have been lighting up the scoreboard but were relatively quiet this week. Nasty Gworls sit Mike Evans (26.3) since he’s dealing with a rib injury, but even replacing him with the lowest scoring player (Waddle) would have left the Gworls a point short of winning.
$81k team (144.4) walked past Dad of two (110.56). I’m impressed with $81k team following up a 200+ point week with 140+. Over a quarter of that production came from Drake Maye’s (39.46) dismantling of the Las Vegas Raiders as his deep ball seems to have come back. CeeDee (2.9) and Nico Collins (10.6) got the memo that Steve’s team was supposed to rubber band, but Jameis Winston (25.74) and his Rams stack of Davante (22.1) / Kyren (19.6) disagreed. Dad of two’s weekend was bookended with solid George Pickens (28), James Cook (22.8), and Stafford (27.32) games. However, he must have slept in Sunday and missed the Saquon Barkley inactive, though the best bench replacement would have been Mike Washington Jr. (2). In the predictions, I mentioned it was rough the Jer needed to start Wandale (11.3) and KC Concepcion (1.5) though my concerns were only warranted for the later. Regardless, Steve handled business in this one.
Exciting Whites (111.56) edged out Team Tendonitis (94.58) in this week’s toilet bowl. I wasn’t a part of the toilet bowl this week!!! The Whites were on their way to a decent week with most players scoring double digits. Pat Freiermuth (21.5) had a pair of TDs including on one pick play that I have no idea how no OPI was called as Germie Bernard ran straight and trucked Pat’s defender. Newly acquired Justin Jefferson (18.8) had a solid game against the Saints with a corner of the endzone ball floated over three defenders. Team Tendonitis got the best JK Dobbins (15.4) of the year so far and Brock Bowers (23) showed up, but that was where their Sunday success ended. Cam Skattebo (7.1) was rarely used until the 4th quarter where he started to dominate before fumbling away the game in overtime. Tee Higgins (4.2) was affected by an abductor injury while Carnell Tate (1.6) was affected by Cam Ward’s incompetence. Tyson Bagent (3.18) was benched and Romeo Doubs only caught a single pass despite Drake Maye passing for 374 yards. Meanwhile, Jeff had a pair of duds in Bo Nix (7.92) and Roman Wilson who was injured early. The rest of the squad slowly accumulated points leaving him with a ~48 point lead against Josh Allen, a mark he has passed only once in his career in a game against the Rams. Unfortunately for Team Tendonitis, even a 70+ point game between the Bills and Rams wasn’t enough to close this gap.
Moore Brown Boutte (163.82) stood victorious in the game of the week against Too Many Bengals (159.94). MBB was juiced by the Lions Cardinals game with both starting QBs and Trey McBride. The Cardinals defense looked competent to start the game, forcing three consecutive three and out, yet quickly fell apart allowing 31 unanswered points. Goff (28.94) got in on three of those TDs while Brissett (26.28) and McBride (21.6) were able to play catchup. Unfortunately for MBB, TMB was sitting on Jahmyr Gibbs (37.7) and a juiced offense of their own in the Packers. TMB’s Jordan Love (25.28) apparently came up with a game plan of, “fuck it, 0 and 9 down there somewhere” as his WR duo combined for 5 catches of 30+ yards each. Luther Burden III (8.9) and the Bears couldn’t get much going on the other side of that game. TMB was also slowed by an early Hockenson injury and a useless piece of the Chargers offense in Omarion Hampton (4.9). Things were tight heading into Sunday night football with MBB’s Bijan and a 20 point lead against Derrick Henry and the Falcons DST. The Falcons were able to go against Tyler Huntley and closed half of that gap. With Bijan’s recent form, its hard to imagine The King outscoring him by 10, but an 18 yard TD late in the 4th left him within striking distance. Henry was carrying piles of defenders down the field in overtime. The Ravens handed the ball to Henry 7 times on their final drive, and on 1st and goal from the 4 yard line, he was stuffed a foot short. On 2nd and goal, the Ravens ran a QB sneak to clinch the game for the Ravens and for MBB. Well played to both teams. Really wish I had a shot at drafting Gibbs.
