The Boys Fantasy Football 2026 Week 4 Recap
My team sucks .. ?
We’re jumping straight to the data nugget this week. Having only broken 100 points a single time in four games, I grew curious how historically bad my 2026 is going. I calculated the average scores for all 4 game stretches (regular season) from 2019-2025. Surprisingly, there were several stretches worse than the one I’m in. I have averaged 95.48 points per week. That ranks about the 8th percentile. Its not a great figure, and it gets even worse when you consider we started superflex in 2022. Since 2022, of 516 qualifying 4 game stretches there have only been 14 worse (2.7th percentile). I’d considered digging into all 14 to see how many were affected by injury vs. people not setting their lineups, but that would take too long. This was however, the second worst opening four games in league history including years without superflex and over a point per game lower than the worst superflex start in league history.
Slight disclaimer, I never scrapped week 14 in 2025 !
As a league in superflex, we average 123.87 points per four game stretch. Below are the five worst and best stretches we’ve seen.

Dave’s 2023 team was carried by Sam Howell and Tyreek Hill while his 2020 team was rolling out New England Cam Newton and a different WR core every week.
Transactions
There was one more trade before kickoff Sunday: | Mike receives | Steve receives | |:-:|:-:| | Jaylen Waddle | Nico Collins | | Mike Evans | Devaughn Vele | | Bill Croskey | Tre Tucker |
Waivers were slow this week with only Dave and Emily submitting bids. Emily picked up the Cowboys DST / Keon Coleman while Dave shuffled 25% of his roster out highlighted by Will Shipley for $6. Good value if Saquon misses and Jalen Hurts remembers how to play QB.
Matchups
Mr. Big Chests (107.5) got the free win this week against My team sucks (97.86). My team sucks shook the roster up going into the weekend. Joe Burrow (25.72) was added to the team while Brenton Strange (16.5) and the Packers DST (10) were called up half an hour before kickoff. Even Malik Washington (12) had an adequate showing as a WR fill-in. My team kicked off in London Sunday morning with Marcus Mariota who early ripped a 35 yard run then promptly left with an MCL injury (5.34). Ja’Marr Chase (5.7) also only played a quarter of football after being concussed on a play where his facemask was ripped to the side before getting lit up. D’Andre Swift (7.4) appeared late in the week’s injury report and was active on Sunday, but after having a pair of rushing TDs called back on video review and an early third quarter fumble, Swift ceded 30 carries to Kyle Monangai. Braelon Allen (8.7) was playing well in Breece Hall’s absence, but the Jets on Sunday had less total plays (32) than the Bears had first downs (34). In contrast, the Saints are averaging 74 plays per game. Mr. Big Chests also struggled mightily this week. Trevor Lawrence (13.08) and Parker Washington (2) were flat against Cincinatti while Dalton Schultz (2.9) decided to stop existing with Nico’s return. Chase Brown rushed the ball 9 times for total rushing yards. Fortunately for MBC, we play PPR fantasy football as Brown also nabbed 11 catches for 71 yards (19.1). Rhamondre (18.4) was also inefficient with 3.6 yards per carry but did run in a score. Heading into Sunday night football, MBC just needed about 25 points from ARSB and Chris Olave combined. It was a struggle, but MBC finally crossed the 100 point mark, and therefore an automatic win against me, during the Falcon’s blow out victory over the Saints on Monday night.
Token Female (144.56) remained the only perfect team against Patty Potbellies (120.86). Token Female had their first double digit game of the year from Quinshon Judkins (21.6) on Thursday night when the Steelers decided they would take the night off from tackling. The entire squad contributed with only the defense (Bills) scoring in the single digits. JSN had what might be their worst game of the year with 12.6 points and Jalen Hurts didn’t have the greatest fantasy day with 13.52. Hurts passed for less than 100 total yards, but was turnover free despite throwing a very intercept-able pass in the endzone that was ripped from the defender by Darius Cooper. The Potbellies put up a fight with recently acquired Alvin Kamara (22.8) nabbing a pair of TDs on Monday night football and Puka (27.7) returning to form. Unfortunately for the Potbellies, Rashee Rice (0) pulled his hammy early in the game and Bucky Irving (6.1) understandably couldn’t get going with undrafted rookie Jaylon Daniels making his first start. Meanwhile, Token Female kept the Potbellies at arms length with old man Aaron Jones Sr. (16.8) carrying the rock 20 times for 94 yards and Malik Nabers (23.2) finally getting the Jameis Winston experience.
Keith’s Top-Notch Team (134.6) edged out Nasty Gworls (123.7). This matchup opened Thursday night with Nasty Gworls’ DK Metcalf (16.5) and KTNT’s Warren (15.6) / Fannin (11.7) combo generating some offense in the 51 point game. KTNT fell behind early on Sunday as the Colts TDs went to Nasty Gworls’ Jonathan Taylor (22.7) instead of KTNT’s Daniel Jones (8.92). KTNT’s Lamar (18.88) / Flowers (25.8) stack was on fire early as the pair connected for a fingertip 19 yard TD catch early in the second. Instead of fully pulling away, KTNT’s Lamar Jackson did not play at all in the second half due to an ankle injury while Nasty Gworls kept things close thanks to Isaiah Likely (13.6) and Jaylen Waddle (14.5). KTNT maintained their lead in the late window thanks to Ashton Jeanty who continues to generate fantasy value in the receiving game with 6 catches for 68 yards. Jeanty is currently on pace for over 100 targets (thats.. a lot for a RB). Nasty Gworls was his own worst enemy in this matchup. He traded away Nico Collins on Saturday who went off for 30+ while also receiving in that trade Bill Croskey. Croskey went in the lineup over Ollie Gordon who Mike spent $40 faab on entering the week. The score difference between Bill and Ollie means had Nasty Gworls kept Ollie in, he would have won by a tenth of a point.
Dad of Two (146.14) stomped Exciting Whites (104.16). This matchup was tight during the day Sunday. Exciting Whites early generated some offense with CMC (16) and Bayshul Tuten (11.1) while Dad of Two answered with George Kittle (17) and James Cook (16.3). DoT’s Saquon Barkley (2) pulled his hammy early in the game while his QB duo of Herbert (11.56) and Stafford (11.68) have had rough starts to the year. Exciting Whites’ Mack Hollins (8.3) and Bo Nix (13.56) haven’t fared much better. Heading into Sunday Night Football, Exciting Whites had Drake London and about a 15 point lead against Chubba Hubbard and Tetairoa McMillan. McMillan was coming off a 2 catch performance while Chubba has been solid. Chubba continued his studly start to the year with 20 carries for 122 yards and a pair of rushing TDs. McMillan at the same time decided to have the best game of his career so far. McMillan was targeted 16 times and pulled in 14 of them for 192 yards and another 2 TDs. After the 300+ yard 4 TD performance from Dad of Two’s Panthers, Exciting Whites had no shot on Monday Night Football and could at least head to bed a bit early.
$81k team dropped 216.16 points on Sunday. Sorry Cody, you’re not a part of this paragraph (though I’m not sure you care after a stinker of a week). Since I had the data loaded, I took a look. There have been three 200+ scores before this week. Steve crushed the previous record of 208.32 by Dave in week 2 of 2024. Honorable mention for Brendan Galdo scoring 204.85 without superflex in week 4 of 2020. 2nd round pick Drake Maye (27.16) finally decided to show up to the 2026 season. Kyren Williams (36.7) rushed for a pair of TDs in the Ram’s comeback win against the Eagles while also racking up 10 check downs. Jameis Winston (20) finally got to play a not great defense in half decent weather conditions. Steve’s squad was juiced up with the Battle of Texas shootout between the Texans and Cowboys. Recently acquired Nico Collins (30.8) scored twice in his first game back from injury. Javonte Williams only averaged 3.3 yards per carry, but frequently found himself in the redzone with three second half TDs and 31.3 fantasy points. Meanwhile, CeeDee Lamb was open early and often. Lamb was targeted 21 times and caught 17 passes for 189 yards and 1 TD. Lamb was also wide open on a double move late in the first half for a 50 yard TD that Dak missed. In total, Steve’s six skill position players combined for 36 carries, 48 catches, 590 all purpose yards, and 10 TDs. Steve would appreciate having had such a high score with their fantasy defense only scoring 8 points and not something outlandish since he believes #defensesarestupid. Great week Steve, can’t wait for this to rubber band next week for my sake.
Team Tendonitis (147.84) smacked Moor Brown Bouttee (133.12). MBB made a few great start/sit decisions. Newly signed Emanuel Wilson (27) went in over 4th round pick David Montgomery (4.3) while Deebo Samuel (18) was played in the flex spot over Dontayvion Wicks (4.8). MBB had a disappointing outing from the Brissett (13.44) McBride (10.1) stack as well as an early DJ Moore exit (2.7) as he re-injured his shoulder. Team Tendonitis had some pedestrian games from Josh Allen (19.52), Tyson Bagent (9.82), and Stefon Diggs (8.5) who played most of the game with a 3rd string QB. Brock Bowers (20.6) and Tee Higgins (26.7) however picked up the slack. It didn’t matter what start/sit decisions Team Tendonitis made in this one as his bench also went off for 118.1 points, good enough to beat 4 other teams this week. Heading into Monday night, MBB needed a 40 burger from Bijan to catch up. Bijan started the game where he left off last week ripping a long TD. I went to bed early Monday and was checking the scoring summaries in the ESPN app and thought Bijan scored 5 TDs and thought, “Damn Max pulled it off”. Opening the fantasy app, however, I realized three of those rushing scores went to “Brian” Robinson Jr. instead who coincidentally is on Cody Cat’s bench. That left Bijan just over a dozen points shy.
Predictions
I went 1-5 last week. What? I thought I was picking losers, my bad. That drops me all the way back to 13-11 while ESPN went 5-1 again for 17-7 on the year. Yikes.
This week’s winners are: My team sucks, Token Female (until she loses I’m going to keep picking her), MBC, $81k Team (rough week for Jer rolling out Wandale and KC Concepcion), Team Tendonitis, and Moore Brown Bouttee.
